Objective
Generate awareness about WPO's arrival in Spain and the organization's proposal to generate interest among the audience of Spanish women entrepreneurs to create new chapters.
Challenge
WPO is an international organization with little public awareness outside the U.S. The only chapter/group of women entrepreneurs that WPO has formed in Spain is in Galicia, not in Madrid. The Spanish women entrepreneurs who are members of WPO are very low-profile and unknown to the Spanish media.
Strategy
The Global CEO's visit was leveraged to give visibility to WPO and raise awareness of the issue that gave rise to the creation of this organization. Several pieces of content were created to share with the media covering topics of interest such as the loneliness of the woman entrepreneur, female leadership, the challenges of second-stage companies, etc. On some occasions, it was suggested that one of the Spanish women entrepreneurs be the spokesperson in order to begin building WPO's local profile.
Results
15 publications were achieved in two weeks. More than 70% were in Tier 1 media. We obtained more than EUR 130K in Earned Media. More than 100M unique users were reached.
