Challenge:
To announce at a regional level the acquisition of the global payments organization PayU by Rapyd.
To generate relevance with the announcement in different Latam markets, overcoming the challenge of the low impact that the news could have in Mexico and Argentina. Similarly, to achieve the majority of organic repercussions in Colombia, given that PayU is a local company.
Action plan:
The global statement was adapted, sending it 1 to 1 to the main target media for Rapyd in the region. In each send-out, the context and impact of the acquisition for Latam were explained, so that the news would not be perceived as just a benefit for PayU's country of origin.
Results
We obtained +50 organic publications, 36 of them in T1 media from Colombia, Mexico, and Argentina, such as La República, Portafolio, Forbes, Valor Analitika, Bloomberg Línea, América Economía, Excélsior, El Economista, Emprendedor, La Nación and Cronista, among others, reaching an earned media of USD +60k and impacting over +90 million users.
